This is where the magic happens

Increasing Twitter following

Let’s gooo! It’s Friday! The weekend is almost here which means a break from the screens for many — and that’s great. It’s important to take breaks and recharge, spend time with loved ones and focus on yourself.

This week for me has been very busy. Twitter and the newsletter both grew a lot (thank you!). Been focussing more heavily on my niche which I’m starting to define as: Twitter Algorithm, Twitter Growth (tools etc) and less NFT-specific content. Very happy with this pivot and it seems like you are too.

One thing that has been a challenge for me this week is that not everyone seems to enjoy my content. Have been receiving some negative comments from haters which bothered me more than it should have. My personal goal for this week will be to find a way to deal with that. On the other side, I’ve receive many, many message filled with love so that offset it nicely. For anyone that reached out: thank you!

Anyway, before the weekend hits, here’s this week’s Growth Guide.

Main: This is where the magic happens

This week I published a thread on Twitter Tools. In there, I outline 8 free Twitter Tools you can use to grow your Twitter. While they are all amazing in their own way, not all tools are created equal. Let’s look at one that I discovered last week and how you can actually use it effectively.

The tool I’d like to look at is Black Magic. It’s been acquired by Hypefury two weeks ago so I do expect more integration between the two. Download the Chrome extension here. They have a two-week free trial. I’d recommend it very highly.

To be honest, I’m still figuring out all the features it offers because it’s very extensive. So far I’m using it for:

  • Analysing best performing content

  • Strong tie building

It’s simple. You click on a tweet and the sidebar shows you all the data you need. This is great to figure out what kind of content does well. You can than use this content as inspiration or to niche down and create content that is in line with the same message. But this is not even the best thing…

The Twitter Algorithm heavily favours “strong ties”, meaning your content performs better if you have strong ties to people (follow each other, interact a lot, like their replies etc). This tool is my new hack to create instant strong ties.

The example tweet received 16.k impressions, 308 likes and 84 comments. I cannot reply to all 84 people so how do I decide which ones are worth replying to?

I’m trying out a new strategy where I focus on new followers and first time commenters. On the image above, on the left you will see all engagements and comments. The green names are new followers and the underlined names are users commenting on your content for the first time ever.

Them taking time out of their day to comment means the content triggered them. You hooked them in. Now it’s time to complete the funnel by making them feel welcome. With this tool you can focus on new followers and convert them into full-on “reply guys”. Imagine if the poster picks you to reply to, out of 80+ comments. Makes you feel special right? It’s almost like magic…

Thread Curation: Best of Web3

It’s been a busy week on Twitter with a lot of news going around. Bitcoins are running hot, Web3 Gaming seems to be fueling up and ofcourse the Borovik iPhone scandal and everything that followed. Here’s my personal curated list of the 5 best threads. Read those and grow your knowledge. Some absolute bangers this week.

🔹This week’s highlight: Exit Strategy

Alex touches on a very important point in this thread: taking profits and having an exit strategy. In crypto and NFTs it’s very easy to be consumed by FOMO and hopium.

A must read for everyone invested in NFTs or crypto. Read this and implement it.

I hope you enjoyed this edition! I’ve started my Discord Server: The Growth Guide. I’m looking to onboard people that support me and see eye to eye with my vision and mission. The first 10 people to reply to this newsletter will receive an invite for the Discord (make sure to include your Twitter handle, I’ll DM you there). Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to grow.

Your Guide,
