8 Ways To Use Your Pinned Tweet
read time 3 minutes
Let’s gooo! It’s Friday! The weekend is almost here and I’m all for it. This weekend I’m going to take a little break. This week has been slightly disappointing for me so a clean break will offer a great reset. Time to touch some grass.
This week also offered a lot of ideas. Mostly centered around helping other people grow their Twitter — my value proposition. Developing a low-cost product for this (probably $30-40) and also building out a service to help you grow your Twitter 100% hands-off.
The product I’m developing will be the “Profile Optimiser” — a short course on how to create the perfect profile. This is a passion project for me and has been incredibly fun to work on. I’d love to know if you would buy it. Click this button to show your interest (it does nothing, just for me to see).

Anyway, before the weekend hits, here’s this week’s Growth Guide.
🌱 Your Pinned Tweet is a Game-Changer
When someone lands on your Twitter profile, what's the first thing they see? Your profile picture, banner, bio, and... the pinned tweet! The significance of that one tweet you choose to pin cannot be underestimated. So, why is this single tweet so crucial?
Making the Last Pitch
Imagine this: someone finds your tweet interesting, clicks on your profile, and is almost ready to hit that 'Follow' button. Your pinned tweet is often the last piece of content they'll engage with before making that decision. Essentially, it's your closing argument, your final pitch to convert a casual visitor into a loyal follower.
Maximizing Your Pinned Tweet's Impact
Understanding the value of a pinned tweet is one thing, but harnessing its potential is another. Here are 8 ways to make the most of this prime real estate:
Credibility: Pin a tweet that adds to your credentials. It could be a recognition you received, an article featuring you, or any proof of your expertise in your field.
Announcement: Got something new and exciting to share? Your latest project, an upcoming event, or any major update? Pin it!
Personality: Let your true self shine. Whether it's a quirky fact about you, a humorous take on current events, or your personal mantra—show the world what makes you 'you'.
Show Off Work: Particularly useful for creators and freelancers, pin your best work. Whether it's a stunning graphic design, a snippet from your latest blog, or a project you're proud of.
Branding: Maintain a consistent brand voice. Ensure that your pinned tweet aligns with your brand's image and message.
Social Proof: Highlight positive feedback or endorsements. It could be a testimonial, a satisfied customer's shoutout, or a retweet of someone praising your work.
Self Promotional: Promote your other platforms or channels. Link to your blog, YouTube channel, or any platform where people can learn more about you.
Promotion: Running a special deal, offer, or giveaway? Pin it to give it maximum visibility. This mostly works for accounts that are a little more established.
To wrap it up, your pinned tweet is much more than just another tweet—it's a strategic tool to attract, engage, and convert visitors. By focusing on the aspects above, you can ensure that you're not only making a lasting impression but also growing your following and audience.
So, next time you're contemplating which tweet to pin, remember its power, and make it count. Let’s grow together 🌱
